Be Steadfast, Unmovable...

Lotsa thoughts on Katrina and the aftermath.  Most of them can wait, but this one is a Labor Day Weekend/Katrina thought, a kinda blast from the past slamming head-on into the mess in the Katrna footprint.

I remember my pastor’s Labor Day Weekend Sermon in 1993 vividly. While he was preaching, I was writing a song from his sermon that’s been the single “most performed by people I respect” piece I’ve written.

Here’s his text:

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. I Corinthians 15:58
